“My work is grounded in Relational Coaching (VU Amsterdam & MSc Ashridge/Hult International Business School/University), where I specialised in the dynamics that exist between people rather than within individuals alone. Over the years, I have complemented this foundation with studies in governance, strategy, organizational psychology, communication and leadership at institutions including Leiden University, Nyenrode Business University, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Hult/Ashridge International business school/university (MSc & international accreditation in executive coaching).
Before founding MVECC, I spent more than twenty years in corporate life (career and leadership coach and strategic communication trainer), and in public governance and local politics (council member, party group leader, chair of the financial committee, deputy council chair/deputy mayor). That experience gave me a deep understanding of power, stakeholder management, competing interests and the often invisible dynamics that influence leadership and organizational decision-making.
